On 18 and 19 May, Melissa Torres, representing Beauty Cluster, took part in the Study Visit of Catalan Clusters to Bavaria, a mission organised by ACCIÓ that brought together representatives from different Catalan clusters with the aim of gaining first-hand insight into some of Europe’s most advanced models of innovation, collaboration and competitiveness.
This was Beauty Cluster’s first participation in this initiative, an experience that reinforces the organisation’s commitment to bringing its member companies new perspectives, contacts and opportunities that contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the beauty industry.
During the mission, the delegation visited leading organisations within the Bavarian ecosystem, such as Augsburg Innovation Park, AI Production Network Augsburg, XITASO and DZ.S – Digitales Zentrum Schwaben. The programme also enabled the exchange of experiences with organisations such as Bayern Innovativ GmbH, VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH and representatives of the German go-cluster programme.
These visits provided an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of collaboration models between industry, technology centres, startups and public administrations that are accelerating industrial and digital transformation in Germany. The programme also fostered a valuable exchange between European clusters on key issues for the evolution of these organisations in the coming years, such as the integration of artificial intelligence into cluster management, the promotion of international projects with real impact for companies, the strengthening of the resilience of industrial sectors and the increase of business involvement in collaborative initiatives.
For Beauty Cluster, taking part in this type of initiative represents an opportunity to continue learning from other leading ecosystems, identify emerging trends and explore potential avenues for international collaboration that can generate value for companies in the cosmetics, perfumery and personal care sectors.
