Barcelona, 07 March 2022. On 11 February, the Beauty Business School, the training entity of the Beauty Cluster, kicked off the first long-term programme on perfumery and its applications in Spain. The training journey will end on 01 July, articulating knowledge through face-to-face sessions taught by more than 30 professionals and experts.
Throughout this month of training, the students have been able to enjoy theoretical and practical sessions led by great perfumery professionals, such as the anthropologist and founder of Ainea Perfums, Irene Gisbert, and master perfumer Ramón Monegal, who guided us on a journey towards the authentic and genuine, the motivation and inspiration of the magical process of creating a perfume. These sessions are combined with field trips, such as the olfactory route through some of the most emblematic establishments in the city of Barcelona, which took place on 26 February.
During the month of March, the different olfactory families will be studied and up to 80 raw materials will be presented. “For me it is a pleasure to be able to share my passion for the world of perfume and I am delighted to be able to participate in this training where I will focus on the balsamic and ambery notes: we will see the most characteristic ingredients, reveal their origin, delve into their olfactory nuances… in short, we will fully immerse ourselves in these olfactory families so that the participants can feel and experience them to the full“. Dolors Fargas, Marketing Manager at EMSA-Esencias Moles and teacher in charge of introducing the Ambarada olfactory family, commented.
This initiative arose from the need to help consolidate the perfume industry, which is so deeply rooted in our country and, in particular, in Catalonia. It was made possible thanks to the collaboration of professionals from companies such as Perfumería Júlia, CPL Aromas, Fragrance Science, Ravetllat, Cosmo International Fragance, Martiderm, RNB Cosméticos, Proquimia, among many others.
