Beauty Cluster actively participated in “Sweden meets Catalonia”, an international intercluster event held in Barcelona and organised by ACCIÓ (Government of Catalonia) to strengthen economic, technological and strategic cooperation between the cluster ecosystems of Sweden and Catalonia. The organisation was represented by Adrià Martínez, General Manager, and Cristina Jialing, International Manager.
Held in the Sala Cotxeres at Palau Robert, the session brought together representatives from both countries to share cluster policies, funding models and success stories in sustainability and the circular economy, as well as future challenges related to industrial resilience and the digital transition driven by artificial intelligence.
A space for connection and the exchange of best practices
The event opened with welcome remarks from Joan Romero, Executive Director of ACCIÓ, and Ola Svedin, representative of Opentech & COB Clusters of Sweden. Speakers from both regions then explored the main pillars of their competitiveness and economic growth policies.
The programme included collaborative activities such as the Cluster Safari and Cluster Cafés, designed to discuss the real impact of clusters on their regions and explore sustainable funding models. Thematic panels on resilience and the green and circular economy also highlighted European synergies and opportunities for joint innovation projects.
Working groups and future opportunities
In the afternoon, the event continued with parallel, rotating working groups focused on key areas such as the digital transition, the use of artificial intelligence and the development of collaborative European projects (C2C).
For organisations such as Beauty Cluster, participation in events of this scale reinforces their commitment to internationalisation, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and the creation of strategic value networks with leading organisations in Northern Europe.
