September 5th, 2018. The Beauty Cluster Barcelona celebrated the “Beauty Retail Tour Andorra”, a day of training and networking focused on the field of retail in cosmetics and perfumery, with the participation of more than 15 professionals in the value chain of the cosmetic sector.

The tour began with a visit to the headquarters of Perfumería Júlia in Andorra la Vella, where Josep Alboquers, advisor to the Board of Directors in Júlia, and Ivan Armengod, director of Pyrénées Department Stores, spoke about some of the basic KPIs of retail, the optimization of the purchase conversion and cross-selling and up-selling techniques, in addition to trends in retail sales.

During the visit to the headquarters of Júlia, an on-site comparison was made of the differences between the cosmetic sales channels (pharmacy, professional, perfumery and hairdressing). Where attendees could see how all these channels coexist in the same space and the strategy that is followed so that each of them complement each other.


The day continued with the visit to Kielh’s and NYX cosmetics stores, where attendees learned about the business models at the point of sale of both companies.

Finally, the retail tour ended with a visit to the Perfume Museum of Andorra, where attendees could learn about the evolution and history of perfume.
