We speak with Elisabet Quintana from Pyramide. It has been more than 25 years since it was founded. Its beginnings were in naturopathy and natural therapies. Due to the high demand for its products and her passion for aesthetics, the founder created the first cosmetics line, and for the past 3 years I have been the manager of the company, where I have expanded the entire cosmetics range, both facial and body care.
Name, position and company
Elisabet Quintana, Director of Pyramide Cosmetics
Tell us about the company you work for. What is its story?
Pyramide was founded more than 25 years ago. Its beginnings were in naturopathy and natural therapies. Due to the high demand for its products and her passion for aesthetics, the founder created the first cosmetics line, and for the past 3 years I have been the manager of the company, where I have expanded the entire cosmetics range, both facial and body care.
What does your day-to-day work in the company involve?
Taking care of my clients and innovating in the products in order to offer the best and stay up to date with current trends.
What differential value do you offer?
The holistic part. We understand beauty as something integral. We combine powerful active ingredients in terms of skin effectiveness with the power of aromatherapy through essential oils, in order to transform a routine into a beauty ritual.
What challenges do you think you will face in the coming years?
Constant growth, due to the fact that large companies have a lot of power when it comes to marketing.
What does being part of the Beauty Cluster bring to you as an organisation and to you as a professional?
It gives visibility to Pyramide, as well as the opportunity to network with other people in the sector and add value.
Coming back to you. How did you land in the beauty sector?
I am a pharmacist by profession and I have always been passionate about the world of cosmetics. Through my training, I have gradually specialised in skin, as well as in the power of essential oils.
Speaking of “beauty”, how would you define it?
It is a whole within the person. A person has to feel beautiful both inside and out, because we reflect what we feel inside.
Any hobby, superpower or hidden passion you would like to share?
As a hobby, I would say sport. The truth is that I cannot live without it. I think that sometimes it is a bit addictive and I should slow down, but if I do not do it, I feel bad both physically and emotionally. It is my way of escaping.
What is the last book you read or film you watched?
The book Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson. It is very interesting because those of us who have a company are solving problems or small conflicts with clients or suppliers every day. The truth is that there are all kinds of days: days when you feel good and do not take things badly, but there are also days when it is harder to face certain problems. That is why it is very important to maintain the power of natural conversation.
Businesses are based on… giving to others, both clients and suppliers. That is how it is. We need clients because they make the brand grow and, thanks to them, we can keep growing and become better. But suppliers are also very important, because in difficult moments for the company, if you have a good relationship, they will always help you.
