The Beauty Cluster, in collaboration with Ainea Perfums and Teià Town Council, is once again promoting the International Perfumery Contest – Mouillette d’Argent. In the 2021 edition, with violet as the protagonist, a record number of 112 perfumers from 25 countries took part in what is already known as the international benchmark competition in perfumery.
The competition is aimed at perfumers of any nationality who wish to showcase their creative skills. It will be held as part of the “Maridatge dels Sentits” Fair and will form part of the annual activities of BOW (Barcelona Olfaction Week). Any creator of perfumes may submit a single perfume to the competition, provided that these creations include the essence or olfactory note selected for this edition, the rose.
Perfumers will be eligible for the jury prize in two different categories: professional perfumers (working in the industry) and independent perfumers. In addition, all the perfumes presented will compete for the public prize. The Jury, chaired by the master perfumer Mr. Rosendo Mateu and made up of a group of experts in the world of perfume, design, gastronomy, art and the winners of the 2021 edition, will be in charge of selecting 6 perfumes from each of the two categories to go on to the final, and from which the best perfume will be chosen. These 12 finalist perfumes will be the ones that will compete to become, one of them, the winner by vote of the general public.
In this 5th edition, participating perfumers must present a perfume before 15 February containing the rose note, which is also the main note of the Maridatge dels Sentits.

The competition organisers reserve the right to accept or reject entries if they do not comply with the conditions of these rules or have any other deficiencies or defects, including failure to meet the published deadlines for any of the stages of this competition. Registration for the Competition will cost €70 and will be made through www.aineaperfums.com at ‘Concurso de Perfumería’.
