Beauty Cluster Barcelona (BCB) has held its Ordinary General Assembly 2018 at the Miró Foundation in Barcelona. The event was attended by more than 80 members.
During the meeting, in addition to dealing with issues related to the management of the entity, the change of the BCB Board led by the election of the new president was celebrated. Tim Eaves, CEO of Quadpack Group, replaces Montserrat Martí, CEO of Martiderm, who will take on the strategic vice-presidency of the cluster and Elena Grau, CEO at EG Group, will take on the operational vice-presidency.
According to Tim Eaves, president of the BCB, “Throughout 2017, the Beauty Cluster Barcelona has launched initiatives that are increasingly relevant to the sector. The BCB is an ambitious entity, which seeks to position our industry as a world leader. “In this regard, it should be highlighted that 2017 has been, for the fourth consecutive year, a year of growth in activity, number of associates and repercussions at the national and international levels.
During the Assembly the results of the first Barometer of the Beauty Sector in Spain were presented, which shows the perspective of growth of the sector and the optimism with which the industry faces this 2018.
The day also had the presentation of Luca Lazzarini, responsible for commercial communication Banco Mediolanum, who in a motivating presentation, spoke about the strategic future of organizations in the beauty industry and raised new challenges that entities may face short long term.
At the end of the event, Ivan Borrego, director of the BCB, added that the industry has valued very positively the historical trajectory of the entity and in 2017 it has managed to consolidate as a cluster that integrates 140 companies of all sizes, representing all the value chain and that projects a solid image of a sector that works together.
