VIROSPACK AWARDS INNOVATION IN PACKAGING

Barcelona, June 6th, 2019. Last 16th May, the gala of the X edition of the National Packaging Design and Sustainability Awards was held in Valencia. In this meeting, two finalist projects were announced and the winner of the different challenges presented for this edition.

The challenge launched by VIROSPACK at the beginning of the year, fruit of the academic collaboration agreement signed with the Packaging and Packaging Cluster to support packaging training and development, was not easy. The students had to present an eyedropper that brought innovation, emotions and sustainability.

Of the 14 projects received in response to the challenge posed by Virospack, the winners were Rubén Morata and María Ortiz, from the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, with the “Freedom Dropper” project. An innovative proposal of functional eyedropper and quality, with an extra mirror function, interaction with the consumer thanks to a light sensor that alerts you when the expiration date approaches, and also reusable, thus generating less waste.
